Proposal Text

BUILDING AND SITE SINKING FUND MILLAGE PROPOSAL --

Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in Hillsdale County, Michigan, be increased by and the Board of Commissioners be authorized to levy not to exceed 0.5 mill ($.50 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation) for a period of 5 years, 2004 to 2008, inclusive, to create a sinking fund for the construction, repair and maintenance of county buildings; the estimate of the revenue the county will collect in the first year is $565,000?

SENIOR MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL --

Shall the 0.5 mill ($.50 per $1000 of taxable value) increase of the general ad valorem taxes as limited and imposed inder Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution within the County of Hillsdale be renewed for a period of 2005 to 2024 inclusive for the intended purpose of planning, coordinating and providing services to older persons by Hillsdale County Senior Services Center, inc., as provided by Public Act 39 of 1976; and shall the County levy such millage for this purpose during such period which will raise in the first year an estimated $565,000?

AMBOY TWP.-ROAD MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL --

Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes on the general ad valorem taxes within Amboy Township imposed inder Article IX, Sec 6 of the Michigan Constitution be renewed for said Township for 1 (one) mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2005 to 2012 inclusive for the purpose of improving Amboy Township roads and shall the Township levy such increase in millage for this purpose during such period which will raise in the first year an estimated $36,000.00?

AMBOY TWP.-PROPOSAL TO REPEAL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE ORDINANCE --

On May 8, 1996, Amboy Township enacted Ordinance #1-1996 entitled

CAMDEN TWP.-RENEWAL MILLAGE PROPOSITION FOR FIRE PROTECTION --

Shall the 15 mill tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Camden Township imposed under Article IX, Sec 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said Township by 0.75 mill ($0.75 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2005 through 2014 inclusive as a renewal millage for fire protection purposes; and shall the Township levy such increase in millage for such purpose, thereby raising an estimated $31,907.04 in the first year?

LITCHFIELD TWP.-MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSITION FOR FIRE PROTECTION --

Shall the increase of the 15 mill tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Litchfield Township imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be renewed for said Township by 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2005 through 2010 inclusive for fire protection purposes; and shall the Township levy such increase in millage for such purpose, thereby raising an estimated $26,357 in the first year?
