County Medical Facility Proposal -- To support a 0.1250 of a mill for construction and expansion of Medical Facility

EATON COUNTY MEDICAL CARE FACILITY CONSTRUCTION/EXPANSION QUESTION Shall the tax limitation and levy imposed under the Michigan Constitution by the County of Eaton be increased in an amount not to exceed 0.1250 of a mill ($0.1250 on each $1,000 dollars of taxable value) against all taxable real and tangible personal property within the County of Eaton for a period of twenty (20) years, 2007 to 2026, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for expanding the Eaton County Medical Care Facility by an additional forty two (42) beds to meet the needs of the most vulnerable citizens, the elderly, of Eaton County; and shall the County of Eaton levy such millage for said purposes? The estimate of the revenue the County of Eaton in the 2007 calendar year is approximately $403,693. A small portion of the revenue collected (approximately $6,700 in 2007) may be required to be distributed to Downtown Development Authorities, Tax Increment Financing Authorities, Local Development Financing Authorities and Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Authorities established in cities of Charlotte, Eaton Rapids, Grand Ledge, Potterville and Olivet.
