Dowagiac Schools Proposal -- Operating Millage Renewal Proposal

DOWAGIAC UNION SCHOOLS OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Dowagiac Union School District, Cass, Van Buren and Berrien Counties, Michigan, be increased by 18 mills ($18.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for the year 2012, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $4,562,833 (this is a renewal of millage which expired with the 2011 tax levy)?

EDWARDSBURG PUBLIC SCHOOLS OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Edwardsburg Public Schools, Cass County, Michigan, be increased by 18 mills ($18.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for the year 2012, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $1,566,795 (this is a renewal of millage which expired with the 2011 tax levy)?

Marcellus Schools Proposal -- Operating Millage Proposal

MARCELLUS COMMUNITY SCHOOLS OPERATING MILLAGE PROPOSAL This proposal will allow the school district to levy the statutory rate of 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Marcellus Community Schools, Cass, St. Joseph and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, be increased by 1.5 mills ($1.50 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 4 years, 2012 to 2015, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $9,561 (this millage is to restore millage lost as a result of the reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and will be levied only to the extent necessary to restore that reduction)?

Ontwa Township Proposal -- Police Department Millage Proposition

ONTWA TOWNSHIP/EDWARDSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT MILLAGE PROPOSITION Shall the limitation on the total amount of taxes which may be assessed against all real and tangible personal property in the Township of Ontwa, County of Cass, Michigan be increased by one (1) mill on each dollar ($1.00 on each $1,000.00 of the State Equalized valuation on such property) for a period of four (4) years, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 inclusive, as new additional millage to provide funds for the maintenance and operation of the Ontwa Township/Edwardsburg Police Department? The total estimated amount of revenue to be generated for the 2012 calendar year will be $194,276.36.

White Pigeon Schools Proposal -- Millage Renewal Proposal

WHITE PIGEON COMMUNITY SCHOOLS MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL BUILDING AND SITE SINKING FUND TAX LEVY Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property in White Pigeon Community Schools, St. Joseph and Cass Counties, Michigan, be increased by and the board of education be authorized to levy not to exceed 3 mills ($3.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 5 years, 2012 to 2016, inclusive, to continue to provide for a sinking fund for the construction or repair of school buildings; developing and improving sites; and all other purposes authorized by law; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2012 is approximately $1,024,106 (this is a renewal of millage which expired with the 2011 tax levy)?
