Charter Township of Comstock -- Additional Millage for Law Enforcement Services

Shall the authorized charter millage for the Charter Township of Comstock as reduced by any required millage rollbacks be increased up to an additional 1.0 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 taxable value) for five years from 2016 through 2020 inclusive to provide additional funds to be allocated for law enforcement services, a portion of which will be disbursed to Kalamazoo County or such other or fewer local units of government as the Township Board determines appropriate.

Comstock Public Schools -- Operating Millage Renewal Proposal

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance and renews millage that will expire with the 2017 tax levy. Shall the currently authorized millage rate limitation of 18 mills ($18.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) on the amount of taxes which may be assessed against all property except principal residence and other property exempted by law, in Comstock Public Schools, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, be renewed for a period of 20 years, 2018 to 2037, inclusive, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is renewed is/............

Mattawan Consolidated School -- Operating Millage Proposal

This proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property exempted by law, required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance. Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may nbe assessed against all property, except principal residence and other propertty exempted by law, in Mattawan Consolidated School, Van Buren and Kalamazoo Counties, Michigan, be increased by 2 mills ($2.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 3 years, 2016, 2017 and 2018, to provide funds for operating purposes; the estimate of the revenue the school district will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2016 is approximately $9,401 (this millage is to restore millage lost as a result of the reduction required by the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and will be levied only to the extent necessary to restore that reduction)?
